Hopefully you've never said SMMP and had people think you said: SMB, MSG, SMS, or even some of the others! During the recent Corporate Meetings Summit, we debuted this short video about a Director of Meetings' quest to understand SMMPs after receiving a directive from his CFO to implement a program internally.
And despite what the Cvent receptionist says about SMMP being easy (It’s the strategic management of enterprise-wide meeting related processes, spend, volumes, standards and suppliers to achieve quantitative cost-savings, risk mitigation and superior service), we know its a little more complicated than just pulling a P & L report.
